A Spiritual Inspiration Poems

The Spacious Firmament on high
With all the blue Etherial Sky
And spangled Heav’ns a Shining frame
Their great original proclaim:
Th’unwearied sun, from day to day
Does his Creator’s pow’r display
And publishes to every land
The work of an almighty hand

Soon as the evening shades prevail
The moon takes up the wondrous tale
And nightly to the listning Earth
Repeats the story of her birth:
Whilst all the stars that round her burn
And all the planets, in their turn
Confirm the tidings as they rowl
And spread the truth from pole to pole

What though, in solemn silence, all
Move round the dark terrestrial ball?
What tho’ nor real voice nor sound
Amid their radiant orbs be found?
In reason’s ear they all rejoice
And utter forth a glorious voice
For ever singing, as they shine
‘The Hand that made us is Divine.’

The Shape Of Love

What we see is not the most important.
Could dust rise without the invisible hand of the wind?

Could a fan turn without any current?
Could lungs breathe without breath?

Tell me
What is the shape of Love?

How much does Joy weigh
when held in the palm of your hand?
Can you catch the Spirit of Life in a jar?

All things seen depend upon the Unseen.
All sounds depend upon Silence.
All things felt depend upon what is not felt.

Connected To The Stars

When was the last time
You looked at the skies
And let new perspectives and expansion
Come to your minds?

When did you last feel
Your childhood passion
To take flight with your imagination
And soar beyond the daily wheel?

There is an inner wisdom
That calls you to the Stars
Beyond the solar system
Beyond the daily tasks

So, set time for introspection
And regain your sense of wonder
Transcend your mind’s ruminations
And allow your Soul its freedom

Nourish the inner fire
Beyond your ceaseless chatter, your reason,
Allow your sense of awe and deep desire
To flow and reach the Cosmic space

Let the Great Peace soothe you, and feel its embrace
Awaken to the sounds beyond the Silence
Feel your interconnection and oneness
Follow your inner guidance

“As above so below, as within so without”
Like our atoms, so the stars glow
Fractals within fractals,
Of energy, vibration, and light

Macrocosms and microcosms are reflections
All immersed in the same essence
All functioning in absolute perfection
Our bodies, our cells, our souls, and the stars luminescence

Feel the profound calmness
And Universal Love
That unites everything in Oneness
With infinite Wisdom below and above

You are made of stardust and stellar light
You are a child of the Universe
You are a cell of the Great Cosmos
You are connected to the Stars!

Amira

Thou shalt not worry, for worry is the most unproductive of all human activities.

Thou shalt not be fearful, for most of the things we fear never come to pass.

Thou shalt face each problem as it comes, you can handle only one at a time anyway.

Thou shalt not take problems to bed with you, for they make very poor bedfellows.

Thou shalt not borrow other people’s problems, they can take better care of them than you can.

Thou shalt not try to relive yesterday for good or ill, it is gone, concentrate on what is happening in your life today.

Thou shalt count thy blessings, never overlooking the small ones, for a lot of small blessings add up to a big one.

Thou shalt be a good listener, for only when you listen do you hear ideas different from your own, it’s very hard to learn something new when you’re talking.

Thou shalt not become bogged down by frustration, for ninety percent of it is rooted in self-pity and it will only interfere with positive action.

Elodie Armstrong

Make Me A Channel Of Your Peace

Make me a channel of your peace
Where there is hatred let me bring your love
Where there is injury, your pardon Lord
And where there’s doubt, true faith in You.

Make me a channel of your peace
Where there’s despair in life let me bring hope
Where there is darkness, only light
And where there’s sadness ever joy

O Master grant that I may never seek
So much to be consoled as to console
To be understood as to understand
To be loved as to love with all my Soul

Make me a channel of your peace
It is in pardoning that we are pardoned
It is in giving to all men that we receive
And in dying that we are born to eternal life

The Great Invocation

From the point of Light within the mind of God
Let Light stream forth into the minds of all
Let Light descend on Earth

From the point of Love within the Heart of God
Let Love stream forth into the hearts of all
May Christ return to Earth

From the centre where the Will of God is known
Let purpose guide our little wills
The purpose which the Masters know and serve

From the centre which we call the human race
Let the Plan of Love and Light work out
And may it seal the door where evil dwells

Let Light and Love and Power
Restore the Plan on Earth.

Alice Bailey 1880 – 1949

I love to mark the floweret’s eye
To rest where pebbles form my bed
Where shapes and colours scattered life
In varying millions round my head

The Soul rejoices when alone
And feels her glorious empire free
Sees God in every shining stone
And revels in variety

Robert Bloomfield 1766 – 1823

O Infinite Father, I’m grateful to Thee
For the moon and the stars and deep rolling sea
For beauties of nature, where e’er they may be…
For the handclasp of friends, so firm and so true
For sunrise and sunset and glistening dew
The fleecy white clouds and the heavens, so blue
For these wonderful gifts, dear Lord, I thank you!

C Spiritual Inspiration Poems

As I Began To Love Myself

As I began to love myself, I found that anguish and emotional suffering are only warning signs that I was living against my own truth.
Today, I know, this is Authenticity.

As I began to love myself, I understood how much it can offend somebody as I try to force my desires on this person, even though I knew the time was not right and the person was not ready for it, and even though this person was me. Today, I call it Respect.

As I began to love myself, I stopped craving for a different life, and I could see that everything that surrounded me was inviting me to grow.

Today, I call it Maturity.

As I began to love myself, I understood that at any circumstance, I am in the right place at the right time, and everything happens at the exactly right moment, so I could be calm.

Today, I call it Self-Confidence.

As I began to love myself, I quit stealing my own time, and I stopped designing huge projects for the future. Today, I only do what brings me joy and happiness, things I love to do and that make my heart cheer, and I do them in my own way and in my own rhythm.

Today, I call it Simplicity.

As I began to love myself, I freed myself of anything that is no good for my health – food, people, things, situations and everything that drew me down and away from myself. At first I called this attitude a healthy egoism.

Today, I know it is Love of Oneself.

As I began to love myself, I quit trying to always be right, and ever since, I was wrong less of the time.
Today, I discovered that is Modesty.

As I began to love myself, I refused to go on living in the past and worry about the future. Now, I only live for the moment, where Everything is happening.

Today, I live each day, day by day, and I call it Fulfilment.

As I began to love myself, I recognized that my mind can disturb me and it can make me sick. But, as I connected it to my heart, my mind became a valuable ally.

Today, I call this connection Wisdom of the Heart.

We no long need to fear arguments, confrontations or any kind of problems with ourselves or others. Even stars collide, and out of their crashing new worlds are born.

Today, I know… That is Life.

Charlie Chaplin 1889 – 1977

What if the little rain should say
‘So small a drop as I
Can ne’er refresh the thirsty field
I’ll tarry in the sky.’

What if each shining beam of noon
Should in its fountain stay
Because its feeble light alone
Could not create a day

Doth not each rain-drop help to form
The cool refreshing showers?
And every ray of light to warm
And beautify the flowers?

And thus the good each child may do
Is help to all the rest
Then let us active be and true
And do our little best

William Cutter 1801 – 1867

E Spiritual Inspiration Poems

Desiderata

Go placidly amid the noise and haste and remember what peace there may be in silence. As far as possible without surrender be on good terms with all persons. Speak your truth quietly and clearly, and listen to others – even the dull and ignorant – they too have their story.

Avoid loud and aggressive persons, they are vexations to the spirit. If you compare yourself with others, you may become vain and bitter, for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself. Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans.

Keep interested in your own career, however humble, it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time. Exercise caution in your business affairs, for the world is full of trickery. But let this not blind you to what virtue there is, many persons strive for high ideals, and everywhere life is full of heroism.

Be yourself. Especially, do not feign affection. Neither be cynical about love, for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment it is perennial as the grass.

Take kindly the counsel of years, gracefully surrendering the things of youth. Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune. But do not distress yourself with imaginings. Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness. Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself.

You are a child of the Universe, no less than the trees and the stars, you have a right to be here. And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the Universe is unfolding as it should.

Therefore, be at peace with your God, whatever you conceive Him to be, and whatever your labours and aspirations, in the noisy confusion of life, keep peace with your Soul.

With all its sham, drudgery and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be careful. Strive to be happy.

Max Ehrmann 1872 – 1945

Affirming The Classics
Desiderata Fulfilledby Trina Graves

The April winds are magical
And thrill our tuneful frames;
The garden walks are passional
To bachelors and dames.
The hedge is gemmed with diamonds,
The air with Cupids full,
The cobweb clues of Rosamond
Guide lovers to the pool.
Each dimple in the water,
Each leaf that shades the rock
Can cozen, pique and flatter,
Can parley and provoke.
good fellow, Puck and goblins,
Know more than any book.
Down with your doleful problems,
And court the sunny brook.
The south-winds are quick-witted,
The schools are sad and slow,
The masters quite omitted
The lore we care to know.

Ralph Waldo Emerson 1803 – 1882

The babe by its mother
Lies bathed in joy;
Glide its hours uncounted, –
The sun is its toy;
Shines the peace of all being
Without cloud, in its eyes;
And the sum of the world
In soft miniature lies

The Small Beautitudes

Blessed are those who can laugh at themselves; they will have no end of fun.

Blessed are those who can tell a mountain from a molehill; they will be saved a lot of bother.

Blessed are those who know how to relax without looking for excuses; they are on their way to being wise.

Blessed are those who are sane enough not to take themselves too seriously; they will be valued most by those about them.

Happy are you if you can take small things seriously and face serious thing calmly; you will go far in life.

Happy are you if you can appreciate a smile and forget a frown; you will walk on the sunny side of the street.

Happy are you if you can be kind in understanding the attitude of others, even when the signs are unfavourable; you may be taken for a fool, but this is the price of charity.

Blessed are those who think before acting and pray before thinking; they will avoid blunders.

Happy are you if you know how to hold your tongue and smile, even when people interrupt and contradict you or tread on your toes; the Gospel has begun to seep into your heart.

Above all, blessed are you who recognise the Lord in all whom you meet; the light of truth shines in your life for you have found true wisdom.

I Am There

I Am There
Do you need me?
I am there.

You cannot see Me, yet I am the light you see by.
You cannot hear Me, yet I speak through your voice.
You cannot feel Me, yet I am the power at work in your hands.

I am at work, though you do not understand My ways.
I am at work, though you do not understand My works.
I am not strange visions. I am not mysteries.

Only in absolute stillness, beyond self, can you know Me
as I AM, and then but as a feeling and a faith.

Yet I am here. Yet I hear. Yet I answer.
When you need ME, I am there.
Even if you deny Me, I am there.
Even when you feel most alone, I am there.

Even in your fears, I am there.
Even in your pain, I am there.

I am there when you pray and when you do not pray.
I am in you, and you are in Me.
Only in our mind can you feel separate from Me, for
only in your mind are the mists of “yours” and “mine.”
Yet only with your mind can you know Me and experience Me.

Empty your heart of empty fears.
When you get yourself out of the way, I am there.
You can of yourself do nothing, but I can do all.
And I AM in all.

Though you may not see the good, good is there, for
I am there. I am there because I have to be, because I AM.

Only in Me does the world have meaning;
only out of Me does the world take form;
only because of ME does the world go forward.
I am the law on which the movement of the stars and the growth of living cells are founded.

I am the love that is the law’s fulfilling. I am assurance.
I am peace. I am oneness. I am the law that you can live by.
I am the love that you can cling to. I am your assurance.
I am your peace. I am ONE with you. I am.

Though you fail to find ME, I do not fail you.
Though your faith in Me is unsure, My faith in you never
wavers, because I know you, because I love you.

Beloved, I AM there.

I offer you peace.
I offer you love.
I offer you friendship.
I see your beauty.

Let Your God Love You

Be silent
Be still
Alone
Empty
Before your God
Say nothing
Ask nothing
Be silent
Be still
Let your God look upon you
That is all
God knows
God understands
God loves you
With an enormous love
And only wants
To look upon you
With that love
Quiet
Still
Be

Let your God
Love you

Like the ripples on a pool
Which gradually increase
So the seeds of kindness spread
Once they find release.
A caring heart, a cheery smile
A ready listening ear
Little acts and deeds of love
And words that are sincere
All help to oil the wheels of life
As we go on our way
So act upon that loving thought
And make somebody’s day

A Message

A mountain hides within itself
This message grand and true,
Which at my bidding came today
For me to give to you:

“Drink deep of Nature’s sweetest life,
While learning how to wait.
Stand strong against the tempest’s strife,
Not questioning the fate.
Then shalt thou live above the din
Of petty things below,
Absorbing depths of life within.
The future to o’erflow.”

Childhood’s Days

If knowledge gained in later years
May wholly cloud from sight
The glimpse which childhood’s eye hath caught
Of Heaven’s celestial light.

Then need we not the atmosphere
Of second childhood’s days
To catch another broader glimpse
Of Heaven’s immortal rays?

Ah, yes; we even need to seek
Through Earth’s illusive hour
Immortal childhood’s Heavenly days
Of sweet, revealing power.

For how can otherwise we catch
The deeper glimpses yet
Of life eternal, glorious, pure
Where sun hath never set?

The Under-World

Under the restless surface
Of ocean’s vast domain
The God of perfect quiet
Holds ever peaceful reign.

Under the restless surface
Of passions strong and wild
The still small voice of conscience
Is heard in accents mild

Under the restless surface
Of all man’s life on Earth
The Christ of sacred story
Renews each day his birth.

Be Love ~ Seek Joy

Nearing the end of 2014
I decided to visit the beach
A visualization in my mind
When answers I couldn’t reach

I’d been going round in circles
Not knowing which way to turn
What should I focus on?
Was my dominant concern

James was there waiting
Through the years, my guide
I asked him my question
Noticing the constant tide

It was a very short visit
His words were only four
But their impact of truth
I’ll remember forever more

“Be Love, Seek Joy”
Was all that he said
‘The only guidance I need’
In my diary, I just read

So, Be the Love you are
And everything else will flow
No matter what happens
Love is the way to go

Seek Joy in what you do
Each and every single day
Life is supposed to be fun
Loving Beings at play

Surrender To The Flow

Be at peace, and
Surrender to The Flow
All will be well
Wherever you go

Be the Love you are
Basking in The Flow
Love is all there is
At your Core you know

Speak your Higher Truth
Enhancing The Flow
Those ready to listen
Will Awaken and grow

Acknowledge all is Energy
Connected to The Flow
Raising your vibration
You’ll radiate a glow

Float above the darkness
In the Christed-Light Flow
Living from Spirit first
Your Light will clearly show

Unconditionally Love All
Forgiveness strengthens The Flow
No matter what befalls
You’ll remain calm and mellow

What is the difference
Between your experience of Existence
And that of a Saint?

The Saint knows
That the spiritual path
Is a sublime chess game with God

And that the Beloved
Has just made such a Fantastic Move

That the Saint is now continually
Tripping over Joy
And bursting out in Laughter
And saying, “I Surrender!”

Whereas, my dear
I am afraid you still think

You have a thousand serious moves.

On whistling storm cloud; on Zephyrus wing
The Spirit-choir loud the world-anthems sing
Hark! List their voice:”We have passed through death’s door
There’s no death; rejoice, life lives evermore”

We are, have always been, will ever be
We are a portion of Eternity
Older than Creation, a part of One Great Whole
is each Individual and Immortal Soul

On Time’s whirring loom our garments we’ve wrought
Eternally weave we on network of Thought
Our kin and our country, by Mind brought to birth
Were patterned in Heaven ere molded on Earth

We have shone in the jewel and danced on the wave
We have sparkled in fire, defying the grave
Through shapes ever-changing, in size, kind and name
Our individual essence still is the same

And when we have reached to the highest of all
The gradations of growth our minds shall recall
So that link by link we may join them together
And trace step by step the way we reached thither

Thus in time we shall know, if only we do
What lifts, ennobles, is right and true
With kindness to all, with malice to none
That in and through us God’s will may be done

Teach me, my God and King
In all things Thee to see
And what I do in anything
To do it as for Thee

A man that looks on glass
On it may stay his eye
Or, if he pleaseth, through it pass
And then the Heaven espy

A servant with this clause
Makes drudgery divine
Who sweeps a room, as for Thy laws
Makes that and th’ action fine

This the famous stone
That turneth all to gold
For that which God doth touch and own
Cannot for less be told

The weeks are moving forward
As every year they must
And many resolutions lie
Forgotten in the dust.
But as we seek the road ahead
Lord, show us You are near
To light the way and smooth the path
And wipe away each tear.

The snowdrops peeping through the earth
Remind us life goes on
And we can find new hope and strength
When doubt and fear are gone.
Now as we watch the seasons change
Lord, teach us how to live
And how to share the joy of life
And all the gifts You give.

I wish for you a smoother path
All problems left behind
A little joy, a lighter heart
A calm and quiet mind.

I wish you hope and happiness
Along the path you tread
And gentle, sweet tranquillity
To fill the days ahead.

I wish you peace to soothe the Soul
Each doubt and fear dispel
And love which grows and knows no bounds
And whispers, “All is well.”

You have been telling the people that this is the Eleventh Hour. Now you must go back and tell the people that this is the Hour.

And there are things to be considered:
Where are you living?
What are you doing?
What are your relationships?
Are you in right relation?
Where is your water?

Know your garden.
It is time to speak your Truth.
Create your community.
Be good to each other.
And do not look outside yourself for the leader.

This could be a good time!
There is a river flowing now very fast.
It is so great and swift that there are those who will be afraid. They will try to hold onto the shore.
They will feel they are being torn apart and they will suffer greatly.

Know the river has its destination.
The elders say we must let go of the shore, push off into the middle of the river, keep our eyes open and our heads above the water.
See who is in there with you and celebrate.

At this time in history, we are to take nothing personally.
Least of all, ourselves.
For the moment that we do, our spiritual growth and journey comes to a halt.
The time of the lone wolf is over.

Gather yourselves!
Banish the word struggle from your attitude and your vocabulary.
All that we do now must be done in a sacred manner and in celebration.
We are the ones we have been waiting for.

I Believe

I believe that the best way to prepare for a future life is to be kind, live one day at a time and do the work you can do best, doing it as well as you can

I believe we should remember the week-day, to keep it holy. I believe that sin is misdirected energy. I believe that there is no devil but fear. I believe that no one can harm you but yourself.

I believe in my own Divinity – and yours. I believe that we are all sons of God and that it doth not yet appear what we shall be. I believe that the only way we can reach the Kingdom of Heaven is to have the Kingdom of Heaven in our hearts.

I believe in every man minding his own business, because I believe in freedom – social, economic, domestic, political, mental, spiritual.

I believe in sunshine, fresh air, friendship, calm sleep, beautiful thoughts – because it is what we think and do that makes us what we are.

I believe in the paradox of success through failure, that death is a manifestation of life and that the Universe was planned for good.

I Spiritual Inspiration Poems

Every journey changes us
No matter near or far
Each step into uncharted lands
Can alter who we are.

For as we travel so we start
To see our world anew
We talk with strangers on the way
We see a different view.

And so we learn to tolerate
To understand, to grow
For every journey changes us
Wherever we may go.

Have you ever noticed a tree standing naked against the sky
How beautiful it is?
All its branches are outlined, and in its nakedness
There is a poem, there is a song
Every leaf is gone and it is waiting for spring
When the spring comes, it again fills the tree with
The music of many leaves
Which in due season fall and are blown away
And this is the way of life

A To Zen Of Life

Avoid negative sources, people, places and habits.
Believe in yourself.
Consider things from every angle.
Don’t give up and don’t give in.
Everything you’re looking for lies behind the mask you wear.
Family and friends are hidden treasures, seek them and enjoy their riches.
Give more than you planned to.
Hang on to your dreams.
If opportunity doesn’t knock, build a door.
Judge your success by what you had to give up in order to get it.
Keep trying no matter how hard it seems.
Love yourself.
Make it happen.
Never lie, steal or cheat.
Open your arms to change, but don’t let go of your values.
Practice makes perfect.
Quality not quantity in anything you do.
Remember that silence is sometimes the best answer.
Stop procrastinating.
Take control of your own destiny.
Understand yourself in order to better understand others.
Visualize it.
When you lose, don’t lose the lesson.
eXcellence in all your efforts.
You are unique, nothing can replace you.
Zero in on your target, and go for it.

To forget the mistakes of the past
And to press on to the greater achievements of the future.

To wear a cheerful expression at all times
And give a smile to every living creature that you meet.

To give so much to improving yourself
That you have no time to criticize others.

To be too large for worry, too noble for anger, too strong for fear
And too happy to permit the presence of trouble.

To think well of yourself and to proclaim this fact to the world
Not in loud words but in great deeds.

To live in faith that the whole world is on your side
So long as you are true to the best that is in you.

Christian D. Larson 1874 – 1954

Tell me not, in mournful numbers,
Life is but an empty dream!
For the soul is dead that slumbers,
And things are not what they seem.

Life is real! Life is earnest!
And the grave is not its goal;
Dust thou art, to dust returnest,
Was not spoken of the soul.

Not enjoyment, and not sorrow,
Is our destined end or way;
But to act, that each to-morrow
Find us farther than to-day.

Art is long, and Time is fleeting,
And our hearts, though stout and brave,
Still, like muffled drums, are beating
Funeral marches to the grave.

In the world’s broad field of battle,
In the bivouac of Life,
Be not like dumb, driven cattle!
Be a hero in the strife!

Trust no Future, howe’er pleasant!
Let the dead Past bury its dead!
Act,—act in the living Present!
Heart within, and God o’erhead!

Lives of great men all remind us
We can make our lives sublime,
And, departing, leave behind us
Footprints on the sands of time;

Footprints, that perhaps another,
Sailing o’er life’s solemn main,
A forlorn and shipwrecked brother,
Seeing, shall take heart again.

Let us, then, be up and doing,
With a heart for any fate;
Still achieving, still pursuing,
Learn to labor and to wait.

The Arrow and the Song

I shot an arrow into the air,
It fell to earth, I knew not where;
For, so swiftly it flew, the sight
Could not follow it in its flight.
I breathed a song into the air,
It fell to earth, I knew not where;
For who has sight so keen and strong,
That it can follow the flight of song?
Long, long afterward, in an oak
I found the arrow, still unbroke;
And the song, from beginning to end,
I found again in the heart of a friend.

Love for all! And can it be?
Can I hope it is for me?
I, who strayed so long ago
Strayed so far, and fell so low!

I, the disobedient child
Wayward, passionate and wild
I, who left my Father’s home
In forbidden ways to roam!

I, who spurned His loving hold
I, who would not be controlled
I, who would not hear His call
I, the wilful prodigal!

I, who wasted and misspent
Every talent He had lent
I, who sinned again, again
Giving every passion reign!

To my Father can I go?
At His feet myself I’ll throw
In His house there yet may be
Place, a servant’s place, for me

See, my Father waiting stands
See, He reaches out His hands
God is love! I know, I see
There is love for me – even me!

O Life that makest all things new
The blooming earth, the thoughts of men
Our pilgrim feet, wet with Thy dew
In gladness hither turn again

From hand to hand the greeting flows
From eye to eye the signals run
From heart to heart the bright hope glows
The seekers of the Light are one

One in the freedom of the truth
One in the joys of paths untrod
One in the Soul’s perennial youth
One in the larger thought of God

The freer step, the fuller breath
The wide horizon’s grander view
The sense of life that knows no death
The Life that maketh all things new

The summer days are come again
With sun and clouds between
And, fed alike by sun and rain
The trees grow broad and green
Spreads broad and green the leafy tent
Upon whose grassy floor
Our feet, too long in cities pent
Their freedom find once more

The summer days are come again
Once more the glad earth yields
Her golden wealth of ripening grain
And breadth of clover fields
And deepening shade of summer woods
And glow of summer air
And winging thoughts, and happy moods
Of love and joy and prayer

The summer days are come again
The birds are on the wing
God’s praises, in their loving strain
Unconsciously they sing
We know who giveth all the good
That doth our cup o’erbrim
For summer joy in field and wood
We lift our song to Him

Decide To Dream

Decide to widely open the gates of your wonderful mind, heart and soul.
Let flow in the dreams of God, of the angels, saints, prophets and sages.
Give birth and let out into the world the dreams of your own unique, unrepeatable cosmic being.
If not born for any other purpose, be born to dream, be born to love, be born to fashion a better world.
Dreams and dreamers never die.
From heaven you will see your dreams come true.
You will reincarnate, inspire and energize the new dreamers.
The dreams of our beautiful Planet of Dreams will never die.
Until we become the paradise we were always meant to be and are about to joyfully become.

N Spiritual Inspiration Poems

Great Spirit, whose voice I hear in the winds and whose breath gives life to all in the world, hear me. I am small and I am weak and I need your strength and your wisdom.

Let me walk in beauty and let my eyes ever behold the red and purple sunsets that you have created with me.

Make my hands respect the things that you have made and my ears sharp to hear your words and your voice.

Let me learn the lessons that you have hidden under every rock and leaf.

I seek strength not to be greater than my brother but to fight my greatest enemy.. Myself.

Make me always ready to come to you with clean hands and straight eyes, so that when my life fads as the fading sunset, my Spirit can come to you without shame.

Now you will feel no rain for each of you will be shelter to the other. Now you will feel no cold for each of you will be warmth to the other. Now there is no more loneliness for each of you will be companion to the other. Now you are two persons, but there is only one life before you.

May beauty surround you both in your journey ahead and through the years. May happiness be your companions to the place where the river meets the sun. And may your days be good and long upon the Earth.

May the sun bring you new energy by day. May the moon softly restore you by night. May the rain wash away your worries. May the breeze blow new strength into your beings. And all the days of your lives may you walk gently through the world and know its beauty.

Treat yourself and each other with respect. And remind yourselves often of what brought you together. Give the highest priority to the tenderness, gentleness and kindness that your connection deserves. When frustration, difficulty and fear assail your relationship, as they threaten all relationships at one time or another, remember to focus on what is right between you, not only on the part that seems wrong. In this way you can ride out the storms when clouds hide the face of the sun in your lives, remembering that even if you lose sight of it for a moment, the sun is still there. And if each of you takes responsibility for the quality of your life together, it will be marked with abundance and delight.

When evening falls there you will both be. You’ll take each other’s hands and turn together to look at the road you have travelled to reach this, the hour of your happiness. It stretches behind you even as the future lies ahead. A long and winding road whose every turn means discovery.

Old hopes – new laughter – shared tears.
The adventure has just begun.

We return thanks to our Mother, the Earth, which sustains us.

We return thanks to the rivers and streams, which supply us with water.

We return thanks to all herbs, which furnish medicines for the cure of our diseases.

We return thanks to the moon and stars, which have given us their light when the sun was gone.

We return thanks to the sun, that has looked upon the Earth with a beneficent eye.

Lastly, we return thanks to the Great Spirit, in whom is embodied all goodness, and who directs all things for the good of her children.

Autobiography In 5 Short Chapters

Chapter 1
I walk down the street.
There is a deep hole in the sidewalk.
I fall in.

I am lost… I am helpless.
It wasn’t my fault.
It takes forever to find a way out.

Chapter 2
I walk down the same street.
There is a deep hole in the sidewalk.
I PRETEND I don’t see it.

I fall in again.
I can’t believe I am in this same place.
But it wasn’t my fault.
I still takes a long time to get out.

Chapter 3
I walk down the same street.
There is a deep hole in the sidewalk.
I SEE it there.
I still fall in… it’s a habit… but, my eyes are open.
I know where I am.
It is MY fault.
I get out immediately.

Chapter 4
I walk down the same street.
There is a deep hole in the sidewalk.
I walk around it.

Chapter 5
I walk down another street.

Consider a Tree

The Symbol of Life
One living totality of consciousness
The Oneness of being to which we all belong
Always connected, never separate or apart
The trunk as our Creator, the Source of all Life
The divine dividing branches, our soul family, our connection to source
Each individual twig, a unique soul, our higher selves
The roots below ground, invisible helpers, our guides on the other side
A vital support system providing nourishment and growth
And the leaves that bloom each spring, our human incarnations
Fragile and green, beautiful to behold, but short lived
That shed every autumn, only to be reborn anew every spring
Yet it is our destiny, our mission, our greatest purpose
As collective branches on the Tree of Life
To evolve, to be transformed, and Ascend
To become… Evergreen
Shining with an inner light

O Spiritual Inspiration Poems

May you listen to your longing to be free

May the frames of your belonging be large enough for the dreams of your soul

May you arise each day with a voice of blessing whispering in your heart..
Something good is going to happen to you

May you find harmony between your soul and your life

May the mansion of your soul never become a haunted place

May you know the eternal longing that lies at the heart of time

May there be kindness in your gaze when you look within

May you never place walls between the light and yourself

May you be set free from the prisons of guild, fear, disappointment and despair

May you allow the wild beauty of the invisible world to gather you, mind you and embrace you in belonging

The celebration of life,
shared in the beginning, and again, in the end.

Yet we forget to celebrate it, in every moment we live.
Time, days, years, go on, but are we alive?
Alive and do not know it, sleeping in the world
and dead to the life we are to live.

To celebrate all life,
the sparrow who sang in the morning,
and died in the night,
why do we not celebrate its life?

To know thyself is to know you are alive –
to give, to love, to seek truth, beauty, and suffer pain.

In life as it is meant to be, pain is forgotten,
and strength is all that’s left to be gained
in the moment by moment celebration of life.

Bless my little kitchen Lord
I love its every nook
And bless me as I do my work
Wash pots and pans and cook

May the meals that I prepare
Be seasoned from above
With Thy blessing and Thy grace
But most of all Thy love

As we partake of earthly food
The table Thou has spread
We’ll not forget to thank Thee Lord
For all our daily bread

So bless my little kitchen Lord
And those who enter in
May they find naught but joy and peace
And happiness therein

The Blind Men And The Elephant

IT was six men of Indostan
To learning much inclined,
Who went to see the Elephant
(Though all of them were blind),
That each by observation
Might satisfy his mind.

The First approached the Elephant,
And happening to fall
Against his broad and sturdy side,
At once began to bawl:
“God bless me!—but the Elephant
Is very like a wall!”

The Second, feeling of the tusk,
Cried: “Ho!—what have we here
So very round and smooth and sharp?
To me ‘t is mighty clear
This wonder of an Elephant
Is very like a spear!”

The Third approached the animal,
And happening to take
The squirming trunk within his hands,
Thus boldly up and spake:
“I see,” quoth he, “the Elephant
Is very like a snake!”

The Fourth reached out his eager hand,
And felt about the knee.
“What most this wondrous beast is like
Is mighty plain,” quoth he;
“‘T is clear enough the Elephant
Is very like a tree!”

The Fifth, who chanced to touch the ear,
Said: “E’en the blindest man
Can tell what this resembles most;
Deny the fact who can,
This marvel of an Elephant
Is very like a fan!”

The Sixth no sooner had begun
About the beast to grope,
Than, seizing on the swinging tail
That fell within his scope,
“I see,” quoth he, “the Elephant
Is very like a rope!”

And so these men of Indostan
Disputed loud and long,
Each in his own opinion
Exceeding stiff and strong,
Though each was partly in the right,
And all were in the wrong!

So, oft in theologic wars
The disputants, I ween,
Rail on in utter ignorance
Of what each other mean,
And prate about an Elephant
Not one of them has seen!

A Lightworkers Creed

I am a Lightworker.
I awoke so that others may Awaken.
I learn so that others may also learn.
I transform so that others may transform.
I lighten my load so that others may change theirs.
I learn to see so that others may also see.
I forgave myself so that I may help others to forgive.
I love myself so that I can bring out love in others.

I am a Lightworker.
I live to give comfort.
I live to shine loving light onto others.
I live to heal.
I life to give hope.
I live for truth.
I live to love.

T Spiritual Inspiration Poems

When dew falls as tears from the morning sky,
When riverside trees sparkle in sunlight,
So close in my heart their shadows fall,
Then I know
That the Universe is a floating lotus
In the holy lake of my mind.
Then I know:
I am the voice within the Voice,
The song within the Song,
The life within the Life,
The light breaking through the heart of darkness.

Bless this house, O Lord we pray
Make it safe by night and day
Bless these walls so firm and stout
Keeping want and trouble out

Bless the roof and chimneys tall
Let thy peace lie over all
Bless this door that it may prove
Ever open to joy and love

Bless these windows shining bright
Letting in God’s heavenly light
Bless the hearth, a-blazing there
With smoke ascending like a prayer

Bless the people here within
Keep them pure and free from sin
Bless us all that we may be
Fit O Lord to dwell with thee

Bless us all that one day we
May dwell O Lord with thee

The Violet

Down in a green and shady bed
A modest violet grew
Its stalk was bent, it hung its head
As if to hide from view

And yet it was a lovely flower
Its colours bright and fair
It might have graced a rosy bower
Instead of hiding there

Yet there it was content to bloom
In modest tints arrayed
And there diffused its sweet perfume
Within the silent shade

Then let me to the valley go
This pretty flower to see
That I may also learn to grow
In sweet humility

Express yourself completely, then become quiet.

Open yourself to Heaven and Earth and be like the forces of nature.

When the wind blows, there is only the wind, when it rains, there is only rain, when the clouds pass, the sun promises to shine.

If you open yourself to insight, you are at one with insight, and you can use it completely.

Open yourself to Heaven and Earth.
Then trust your natural responses and everything will fall into place.

Compassion

I show compassion through empathy and understanding.

Compassion helps me practice love and kindness. When I show compassion, I put myself in the place of another by calling upon my empathy and understanding. Compassion is the key that allows me to see beyond a person’s behaviors that I don’t like or agree with and see the Christ within them. I am then able to act with love and warmth because I remember that we are all connected in God.

I have compassion for others when I view them not through the lens of judgment but through the lens of love. This can be difficult with those with whom I am in conflict or those who have beliefs different than mine.

I improve with practice and commitment. Compassion roots my entire being in love, and when I act from love I more easily practice kindness.

I am ready for spiritual adventure!

My adventurous spiritual self is traveling through space and time on a great journey of growth and discovery.

I take Helen Keller’s inspirational words, “Life is either a daring adventure or nothing,” as a challenge to fulfill my destiny as an evolving soul.

With faith, I am empowered to overcome any fears about the conditions of my life or the possibilities for my future.

As a spiritual being, I remember that I am expressing my divine qualities through all my life’s circumstances.

Today I meet this challenge and shift my awareness into my higher being—the Self in me that is unlimited.

With each deep breath, I rise higher and expand into the infinite presence of God. I feel my soul shining within me as my thoughts and feelings grow lighter and brighter.

V Spiritual Inspiration Poems

You are the books you read, the films you watch, the music you listen to, the people you meet, the dreams you have, and the conversations you engage in. You are what you take from these.

You are the sound of the ocean, breath of the fresh air, the brightest light and the darkest corner.

You are a collective of every experience you have had in your life. You are every single second of every day.

So drown yourself in a sea of knowledge and existence. Let the words run through your veins and the colours fill your mind until there is nothing left to do but explode.

There are no wrong answers, inspiration is everything.
Sit back, relax and take it all in.

When things go wrong, as they sometimes will
When the road you’re trudging seems all uphill
When the funds are low and the debts are high
And you want to smile but you have to sigh
When all is pressing you down a bit..
Rest if you must, but don’t you quit

Success is failure turned inside out
The silver tint on the clouds of doubt
And you can never tell how close you are
It may be near when it seems far
So stick to the fight when you’re hardest hit
It’s when things go wrong that you must not quit

Behold the Earth

Behold the earth swung in among the stars
Fit home for gods if men were only kind–
Do thou thy part to shape it to those ends,
By shaping thine own life to perfectness.

Seek nothing for thyself or thine own kin
That robs another of one hope or joy,
Let no man toil in poverty and pain
To give thee unearned luxury and ease.

Feed not the hungry servitor with stones,
That idle guests may fatten on thy bread.
Look for the good in stranger and in foe,
Nor save thy praises for the cherished few;
And let the weakest sinner find in thee
An impetus to reach receding heights.

Behold the earth swung in among the stars–
Fit home for gods; wake thou the God within
And by the broad example of thy love
Communicate Omnipotence to men.
All men are unawakened gods: be thine
The voice to rouse them from unhappy sleep.

Don’t look for the flaws as you go through life ;
And even when you find them,
It is wise and kind to be somewhat blind
And look for the virtue behind them.

For the cloudiest night has a hint of light
Somewhere in its shadows hiding ;
It is better by far to hunt for a star,
Than the spots on the sun abiding.

The current of life runs ever away
To the bosom of God’s great ocean.
Don’t set your force ‘gainst the river’s course,
And think to alter its motion.

Don’t waste a curse on the universe
Remember, it lived before you.
Don’t butt at the storm with your puny form
But bend and let it go o’er you.

The world will never adjust itself
To suit your whims to the letter.
Some things must go wrong, your whole life long,
And the sooner you know it the better.

It is folly to fight with the Infinite,
And go under at last in the wrestle.
The wiser man shapes into God’s plan
As water shapes into a vessel.

Ella Wheeler Wilcox 1850 – 1919

It is easy to sit in the sunshine
And talk to the man in the shade;
It is easy to float in a well-trimmed boat,
And point out the places to wade.

But once we pass into the shadows,
We murmur and fret and frown,
And, our length from the bank, we shout for a plank,
Or throw up our hands and go down.

It is easy to sit in your carriage,
And counsel the man on foot,
But get down and walk, and you’ll change your talk,
As you feel the peg in your boot.

It is easy to tell the toiler
How best he can carry his pack,
But no one can rate a burden’s weight
Until it has been on his back.

The up-curled mouth of pleasure,
Can prate of sorrow’s worth,
But give it a sip, and a wryer lip,
Was never made on earth.

The Voyage Through Life

One ship sails East and another West
With the self same winds that blow
‘Tis the set of the sail, and not the gale
Which determines the way they go

As the winds of the sea are the ways of fate
As we voyage along through life
‘Tis the act of the Soul, which determines the goal
And not the calm or the strife

Thinking

If you think you are beaten, you are
If you think you dare not, you don’t
If you’d like to win, but you think you can’t
It is almost certain – you won’t

If you think you’ll lose, you’ve lost
For out in this world we find
Success begins with a fellow’s will
It’s all in the state of mind

If you think you’re outclassed, you are
You’ve got to think high to rise
You’ve got to be sure of yourself before
You can ever win the prize

Life’s battles don’t always go
To the stronger or faster man
But sooner or later the man who wins
Is the one who thinks he can
